Greetings All

Greetings in the Refreshining name of Jesus Christ!
It's snowing here in Southern Maine, again! About this time of year we are ready to see the end of snow, but snow makes a point! Snow covers all imperfections otherwise noticable. Instead of looking at unkept roads, or brown grass, or the odd bit of trash strewn about, we see fresh, clean, neat snow. Jesus made us a promise, one that refers to snow! He told us if we accept His gift of salvation we shall be made white as snow! Our sins would no longer be seen by God! I don't know about you, but this is definitely something I want for me! I want it for you too!
Pray with me;
"Lord, I am a sinner. Your word says if I accept you as my savior, I shall be made white as snow! Forgive me Lord for my sins. Thank you for taking my place on the cross! I ask you to dwell within my heart Lord. Amen." If you prayed this, welcome to the family of Christ! Know that you are forgiven, and your sins are covered! Jesus is faithful in His promise!
Isaiah 1:18 says, "Come now, let us reason together," says the LORD. "Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool."

Greetings in the Completely Loving Name of Jesus Christ!
Do you love? How do you know? There is a story of a man, a murderer, on death row. His mother visited him on the day before he was to be executed. After her visit, she spoke with the warden about her son.
The next morning the guards and the warden came to lead the condemned man to the death chamber. As they walked, the warden explained that the man's mother had asked to be put to death in her son's place. The warden agreed. The condemned man was led to the front gate and set free as he wept at his mother's loving sacrifice. This is just a story, not really true as there is no provision to take the place of anyone on death row, but there is one TRUE story where this did happen! God sent His son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross, in our place, for our condemned souls! This is a TRUE story; and you can read about it in the book of John!
John 3:16 says, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
Try reading it this way, "For God so loved (your name) that He gave His only begotten son, that if (your name) believeth in Him (your name) should not parish, but have everlasting life."

Greetings in the Restful Name of Jesus Christ!
7 days ago Tina and I left to visit her family in Malaysia on Borneo. We are here now! It is an arduous journey, taking nearly 2 full days to get here! But once we are here the worries of the world start to fall away, rather quickly. It wasn't long before I reached 'rest central'! Rest is important to humans so we can recharge ourselves and be more productive servants. Have you ever tried to be effective after 24 hours awake? It's hard! God knows how important rest is; He himself rested after creating everything. Work when you should, rest when you should; it is a cycle of which God approves!
Genesis 2:2-3 says, "And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.
(3)And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.

Greetings in the Comforting Name of Jesus Christ!
Challenges, we all have them, some of us more often than others. There are probably times you are tempted to just give up and give in, but instead, let's be thankful for those challenges! What?! Yup, that's what I said; thankful! Let me tell you why. God knows exactly what we are able to handle in our lives. The challenges we face in our lives, if we are true believers, are a way to know that God has faith in us! Believe it? Well, consider Job! That's what God said to satan when satan said Job would fold under pressure, "Consider my servant Job". God showed great faith in Job because Job showed great faith in God! As you know, satan laid it on Job hard, and Job never faltered! Job knew God was there with him, no matter what the challenge!
1 Corinthians 10:13 says, "No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it."

Greetings in the Compassionate Name of Jesus Christ!
Do you remember the story of the good samaritan? Let me refresh your memory. A man had been traveling the road from Jeruselem to Jericho, and fell into the hands of theives. They beat him, stripped him of possessions and clothing, then left him for dead on the side of the road. A priest came by, and passed the man by going to the other side of the road. This priest may have been on the way to the temple, and to have touched the beaten man would have made the priest unclean. Likewise, a Levite passed him by.
Then a Samaritan came upon him. The Samaritan had comapssion on the wounded man, put oil on his wounds, bandaged him, and took him to an inn, promising the keeper to pay for the man's expences. As a result, we now have many "Good Samaritan" references. The question is, how often do we seize given oppotunities to be good samaritans? They occur, but perhaps we don't 'see' them, just like the priest and the Levite didn't 'see' the wounded man. Believers, this is commanded by God; "Love one another even as I have loved you."
Luke 10:27, "Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself."

Greetings in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ!
Do you have a servants heart? There is a story about a Christian man of some prominence who would, each weekend, dress in raggedy clothes and head into the homeless district to help feed and care for those who were in need. No one knew his true identity until he died and his secret was discovered. The man was not interested in recognition of any sort, he simply worked for Christ. I have heard that the way you can tell weather you have a servants heart or not is measured by how you feel when you are treated like a servant! Perhaps the greatest example of servanthood was when when Christ himself washed the dirty feet of His disciples. Imagine, kneeling in front of all those men and, one by one, cleaning feet that have spent the day walking on dirty, dusty roads! Awesome!
Matthew 25:21 says, "His master replied, 'Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master's happiness!'"

Greetings in the Perfect Name of Jesus Christ!
Are you bad? Do you think you're so bad that no one really loves you? Do you think your so bad that even God himself doesn't love you? Well, you're wrong about that! The fact is, Jesus was sent to us by God because he loves us even though we are bad. A good follower of Christ will tell you this, a great follower of Christ will tell you this AND admit he is also bad!
We must remember that we are no better than those with whom we are sharing God's word, and admitting that will keep us humble before God and man. Nobody likes to admit their shortcomings, but if we are to reach the unsaved, we must let them know we are like them, and still we are saved by the perfect love of God!
Romans 5:8 says, "But God commandeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us!
