A submission from Dusty Wilbur:
THE BLOOD OF JESUS
One night in a church service a young woman felt the tug of God at her heart. She responded to God's call and accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior. The young woman had a very rough past, involving alcohol, drugs, and prostitution.
But, the change in her was evident. As time went on she became a faithful member of the church. She eventually became involved in the ministry, teaching young children. It was not very long until this faithful young woman had caught the eye and heart of the pastor's son.
The relationship grew and they began to make wedding plans..
This is when the problems began. You see, about one half of the church did not think that a woman with a past such as hers was suitable for a pastor's son. T he church began to argue and fight about the matter. So they decided to have a meeting.
As the people made their arguments and tensions increased, the meeting was getting completely out of hand. The young woman became very upset about all the things being brought up about her past. As she began to cry the pastor's son stood to speak.
He could not bear the pain it was causing his wife to be. He began to speak and his statement was this: "My fiancïe's past is not what is on trial here.. What you are questioning is the ability of the blood of Jesus to wash away sin. Today you have put the blood of Jesus on trial. So, does it wash away sin or not?"
The whole church began to weep as they realized that they had been slandering the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Too often, even as Christians, we bring up the past and use it as a weapon against our brothers and sisters. Forgiveness is a very foundational part of the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.
If the blood of Jesus does not cleanse the other person completely then it cannot cleanse us completely. If that is the case, then we are all in a lot of trouble.
What can wash away my sins? Nothing but the blood of Jesus! End of case!!!!
"Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved."
Psalm 55:23
There is no cost but a lot of rewards, let's continue to pray for one another.
"Father, I ask you to bless my friends, relatives and email buddies reading this right now. Show them a new revelation of your love and power. Holy Spirit, I ask you to minister to their spirit at this very moment. Where there is pain, give them your peace and mercy. Where there is self doubt, release a renewed confidence through your grace.
In Jesus' precious name.
Amen

Greetings All
Greetings in the Knowledgable Name of Jesus Christ!
Well, summer is finally upon us! If you are like most folks, you'll be making summer plans. There will be plans for camping, family reunions, barbeques, trips, and any number of other family and group activities! Maybe you are looking forward to plans you have already made! Who is involved, and who have you invited? Have you remembered to check with God for all the plans you have made? You may decide to plan your future, long or short term, but God's plan for your future is ultimate! How do I know? God told us in Luke, chapter 12!
"And he told them this parable:
"The ground of a certain rich man produced a good crop.
Luk 12:17
He thought to himself, 'What shall I do? I have no place to store my crops.'
Luk 12:18
"Then he said, 'This is what I'll do. I will tear down my barns and build bigger ones, and there I will store all my grain and my goods.
Luk 12:19
And I'll say to myself, "You have plenty of good things laid up for many years. Take life easy; eat, drink and be merry." '
Luk 12:20
"But God said to him, 'You fool! This very night your life will be demanded from you. Then who will get what you have prepared for yourself?' "
Perhaps, at the end of our planning, we should add the clause 'If it be your will, Lord'.
May God Richly Bless You All!

Greetings All
Greetings in the truthful name of Jesus Christ,
I believe I can be relatively sure that we were all raised with at least one common parental belief; we should always tell the truth. We also learned early on that telling the truth has consequences, sometimes painful. We have all heard the "cherry tree" story about George Washington, and we know about "honest" Abe Lincoln; models to be followed. As adults we finally learned the only honest person ever was Jesus Christ. He told only the truth, and definitely paid the price...for us. Being honest has favourable results, namely a clean conscience and no need to remember which lies have been told!
Proverbs 12:17 "A truthful witness gives honest tetimony, but a false witness tells lies."
But honesty goes beyond the spoken word; it encompases our actions as well. One thing I began telling my kids when they were little is a rule to be followed for life; IF IT'S NOT YOURS, DON'T TAKE IT. My wife was raised on the other side of the world, and guess what...she taught her kids the same thing!! Honesty, it's plain, simple, and guilt free!
Proverbs 16:8 "Better is a little with righteousness, than great revenues without right."
Of course, Paul had to challenge the future generations with this statement...
Acts 24:16 "And here-in do I exercise myself, to always have a conscience void of offence toward God, and toward men."
Wow, that's a toughie, but worth pursuit!
May God richly bless you all...

Greetings All
Greetings in the Agape Name of Jesus Christ,
In 1977 I saw a movie that has stayed with me to this day, and will for the rest of my life. The movie is "Oh God", starring George Burns in the title role. (note: a remake is scheduled for release in 2011) During the movie, 'God' has a monologue in a courtroom. To sum it up, He reminds us that we need to love each other. It seems like a simple task, doesn't it? How are you doing with that? Let me help you find out. Try going one full day without having a negative thought about anyone! I admit to you that I have tried this many times, and never make it! If we are to truly love one another in the fashion God desires, we must be able to have a critical component of love; a component called grace. Thankfully, we have God's love and grace with us always, just for the asking! In the final scene of the movie, the supporting character asks 'God' if they could 'get together now and then', just to talk. 'God'replies, "You talk, I'll listen!" Next time you have a hard time loving, talk to God. He is listening!
1 Corinthians 13:13 "And now abideth faith, hope, and love, these three; but the greatest of these is love."
May God Richly Bless You All!

Greetings in the fair name of Jesus Christ!
I was reading the local obituaries, and started to chuckle. My co-worker was a bit curious, and asked me what was so funny. "This fellow," I replied,"died at the age of 94; but it says here he died unexpectedly!" Tell me folks, what should we expect at 94? I'll let you know when I get there! There is one thing we can all expect after death though; a face to face meeting with God himself. Did you know that everyone will face God? Awesome thought, isn't it? Imagine standing there in front of God, and He is about to review your life, and hand down your judgement; or your reward. Which one will he give you?
Hebrews 9:27, 28 "And it is appointed unto men (and women) once to die, but after that the judgement: So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many, and unto them that look for him shall He appear the second time without sin unto salvation."
Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
Perhaps the dead man's family is right...at some point, 94 years doesn't seem very long!
May God richly bless you all!

Greetings in the Peace Giving Name of Jesus Christ,
As an elderly man was being driven to the assisted living facility, his son was telling him about the activities and the accomodations. "I love it," said his father. "But Dad, you haven't seen it yet," the son replied. "Doesn't matter," piped the father, "I'm going to live there, so I'm going to love it!" Wow! What an attitude! Do we address life that way? It doesn't matter what life brings on, God is with us, and we can love it. In fact, Paul advises us to 'count it all joy'.
1 Thessalonians 5:18 "In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you."
It's not always easy, but it is always possible.
May God Richly Bless You All!

Greetings in the Refreshing Name of Jesus Christ,
Are you tired of the winter weather yet? I sure am! Fear not, Spring is just around the corner. At my mother's house I saw a few Daffodils poking their heads out of the ground! It's wonderful to see; it means Spring is on the way and new life with it! So it is with Jesus! Letting Jesus into your heart breaks the cold hold the world has on you, and brings new life! Get rid of the Winter blues, bask in the Son and the Spring will come!
2 Corinthians 5:17 "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!"
May God Richly Bless You All!
