It was during that hurricane that my mother was born. On January 27, 2012 there was a heavy winter rain falling. It was during that rain that my mother passed away, following a lengthy fight with cancer, at the age of 73. When I was a child, I thought 73 was ancient, but now that I am 51, I have a different point of view! In just 22 years I will be 73, and I am sure I will not think I am old! Perspective is an experience one can only appreciate as it changes! I thank God my mother was a believer, thus now dwells in Heaven! I will see her again someday! God's word promises that end to all who call upon Him for forgiveness, and trust that His sacrifice and blood cleanses us from sin.
Now is the Time for Worship!
May God Richly Bless You All

Greetings All

Greetings in the Bonding name of Jesus Christ,
Today I get to attend a wedding! I love weddings. I love seeing the couple commit themselves to each other. I love the trust that they have in their eyes, trust that they will be husband and wife for their lifetimes, however long that may be. I also love the music, and the food! The bible says that the very first miracle, performed by Jesus, occurred at a wedding! The wedding couple had run out of wine, so Mary asked Jesus to "make" some more! He does, revealing his glory (Jn 2:11), and from then on his disciples put their faith in Him. Jesus is still attending weddings, and still providing wedding miracles!

John 2:3-10,
2:3 "When the wine was gone, Jesus' mother said to him, "They have no more wine."

2:4 "Dear woman, why do you involve me?" Jesus replied, "My time has not yet come."

2:5 His mother said to the servants, "Do whatever he tells you."

2:6 Nearby stood six stone water jars, the kind used by the Jews for ceremonial washing, each holding from twenty to thirty gallons.

2:7 Jesus said to the servants, "Fill the jars with water"; so they filled them to the brim.

2:8 Then he told them, "Now draw some out and take it to the master of the banquet." They did so,

2:9 and the master of the banquet tasted the water that had been turned into wine. He did not realize where it had come from, though the servants who had drawn the water knew. Then he called the bridegroom aside

2:10 and said, "Everyone brings out the choice wine first and then the cheaper wine after the guests have had too much to drink; but you have saved the best till now."

Now is the Time for Worship!
May God Richly Bless you, My Beloved!

Greetings All

Greetings in the Truthful Name of Jesus Christ!
Many books can be read at your leisure. He asked, "Suppose two people were to swap souls. What difference would it make?" (I think I got that right, I hope I got that right.) This question deserves deep consideration. This young man further asked, "Would swapping souls alter the person?"
and, "Does love come from the soul or the brain?" Naturally we, as a group, tried to ponder these queries aloud, only to determine that it would not be possible to come to any conclusions without some study! Thank you, Tommy, for the challenge! It is a complete cycle of life, and death, and life. It is the way God intended. He intended the cycle for all living things, including humans. For us, life is an opportunity to serve God, and to marvel at His creations. But death also brings life, eternal in heaven with our creator! This, too, is what He intended. We need to make sure we tell this news to those who don't know it! We need to show them the way to find new life so that their cycle will be complete.
John 5:24 says, "I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life."
Now is the Time to Worship!
May God Richly Bless You, My Beloved!

Greetings All

Greetings in the Stable Name of Jesus Christ,

Have you considered house construction? Step 1 is a solid foundation, then, a frame is erected to support both the roof and the walls (the house). Following that, drywall, paint and trim finishes up the job! Then, invite others to see your house! If properly cared for, the house will stand the test of time, lasting for hundreds of years in some cases. There are houses that were built in the 1700’s that still stand today! Now consider this; you are a house of God, built to serve Him. The first step is a solid foundation; the word of God, the Holy Bible. Set your house on that foundation, and it will not fall. The second step is framing; build your relationship with Jesus Christ. Learn his teachings to support your house! The third step; drywall, paint, and trim; make your house visibly attractive so others see it. The fourth step; Serve God; share your building plans with others, so they can build their own house! Remember to thank the Master Builder!
Joshua 24:15 says, "But if serving the LORD seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your forefathers served beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. Today we get to honor the one person that may have been the most important influence on our young lives! Of course, I am speaking of our God given mothers! Did you know that you have the mother God meant for you to have? We are not born into our family just by chance, it is a God directed birth! There is something else God directed; honor thy mother and father. It is not a choice, but a directive that, when performed, honors not only your parents, but God also! Christ is not in the tomb, but He is risen!
Two faithful servants went to His tomb that morning, only to find it open. they encountered two 'men'..
Luke 24:5 says, "In their fright the women bowed down with their faces to the ground, but the men said to them, "Why do you look for the living among the dead?"
NOW is the Time for Worship!
May God Richly Bless You, My Beloved.

Greetings All

Greetings in the Calming Name of Jesus Christ!
We are human, and as such, we get angry at times. It happens to everyone, you are not alone. It is important to know what to do with that anger though. Some folks just blow their tops, some keep it all inside until it makes then ill, and some react a different way every time. If you find yourself in the angry boat, pray! It is the first and best thing to do. God know what anger is, and he knows what will calm you, but you can't get the calming of God without asking for it! As I looked through the clutter of my room, the experience brought a thought to mind. How many of us out there have lives so cluttered we can't find time for Christ? Keeping an organized life is something we need to work on to make sure we consistently have time for God each day. Discipline yourself to make it the same time each day, and soon you'll have a habit! He had been evading capture in the jungle, but enemy troops were closing in. He found a cave and hid inside, but the cave was not very deep and he was afraid he would be discovered; that would mean certain death. As he hid in the cave he could hear the enemy soldiers closing in, they were doing a sweep of every crevace. As he waited, barely breathing, he prayed. As he was praying, he noticed a spider had begun spinning a web at the entrance to the cave. Within minutes the spider had spun a web which covered the opening. Japanese soldiers were passing and saw that the web was unbroken, thus, they believed no one could be inside and passed the cave by. The American soldier was saved by a spider, and the Grace of God! About this time of year we are ready to see the end of snow, but snow makes a point! Snow covers all imperfections otherwise noticable. Instead of looking at unkept roads, or brown grass, or the odd bit of trash strewn about, we see fresh, clean, neat snow. Jesus made us a promise, one that refers to snow! He told us if we accept His gift of salvation we shall be made white as snow! Our sins would no longer be seen by God! I don't know about you, but this is definitely something I want for me! I want it for you too!
Pray with me;
"Lord, I am a sinner. Your word says if I accept you as my savior, I shall be made white as snow! Forgive me Lord for my sins. Thank you for taking my place on the cross! I ask you to dwell within my heart Lord. Amen." If you prayed this, welcome to the family of Christ! Know that you are forgiven, and your sins are covered! Jesus is faithful in His promise!
Isaiah 1:18 says, "Come now, let us reason together," says the LORD. "Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool."
Now is the Time for Worship!
May God Richly Bless You, My Beloved!

Greetings All

Greetings in the Completely Loving Name of Jesus Christ!
Do you love? How do you know? There is a story of a man, a murderer, on death row. His mother visited him on the day before he was to be executed. After her visit, she spoke with the warden about her son.
The next morning the guards and the warden came to lead the condemned man to the death chamber. As they walked, the warden explained that the man's mother had asked to be put to death in her son's place. The warden agreed. The condemned man was led to the front gate and set free as he wept at his mother's loving sacrifice. This is just a story, not really true as there is no provision to take the place of anyone on death row, but there is one TRUE story where this did happen! God sent His son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross, in our place, for our condemned souls! This is a TRUE story; and you can read about it in the book of John!
John 3:16 says, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
Try reading it this way, "For God so loved (your name) that He gave His only begotten son, that if (your name) believeth in Him (your name) should not parish, but have everlasting life."
Now is the Time for Worship!
May God Richly Bless You, My Beloved!

Greetings All

Greetings in the Restful Name of Jesus Christ!
7 days ago Tina and I left to visit her family in Malaysia on Borneo. We are here now! It is an arduous journey, taking nearly 2 full days to get here! But once we are here the worries of the world start to fall away, rather quickly. It wasn't long before I reached 'rest central'! Rest is important to humans so we can recharge ourselves and be more productive servants. Have you ever tried to be effective after 24 hours awake? It's hard! God knows how important rest is; He himself rested after creating everything. Work when you should, rest when you should; it is a cycle of which God approves!
Genesis 2:2-3 says, "And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.
(3)And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.
Now is the Time for Worship!
May God Richly Bless You, My Beloved!

Greetings All

Greetings in the Comforting Name of Jesus Christ!
Challenges, we all have them, some of us more often than others. There are probably times you are tempted to just give up and give in, but instead, let's be thankful for those challenges! What?! Yup, that's what I said; thankful! Let me tell you why. God knows exactly what we are able to handle in our lives. The challenges we face in our lives, if we are true believers, are a way to know that God has faith in us! Believe it? Well, consider Job! That's what God said to satan when satan said Job would fold under pressure, "Consider my servant Job". God showed great faith in Job because Job showed great faith in God! As you know, satan laid it on Job hard, and Job never faltered! Let me refresh your memory. A man had been traveling the road from Jeruselem to Jericho, and fell into the hands of theives. They beat him, stripped him of possessions and clothing, then left him for dead on the side of the road. A priest came by, and passed the man by going to the other side of the road. This priest may have been on the way to the temple, and to have touched the beaten man would have made the priest unclean. Likewise, a Levite passed him by.
Then a Samaritan came upon him. The Samaritan had comapssion on the wounded man, put oil on his wounds, bandaged him, and took him to an inn, promising the keeper to pay for the man's expences. As a result, we now have many "Good Samaritan" references. The question is, how often do we seize given oppotunities to be good samaritans? They occur, but perhaps we don't 'see' them, just like the priest and the Levite didn't 'see' the wounded man. Believers, this is commanded by God; "Love one another even as I have loved you."
Luke 10:27, "Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself."
Now is the Time for Worship!
May God Richly Bless You, My Beloved.

Greetings All

Greetings in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ!
Do you have a servants heart? There is a story about a Christian man of some prominence who would, each weekend, dress in raggedy clothes and head into the homeless district to help feed and care for those who were in need. No one knew his true identity until he died and his secret was discovered. The man was not interested in recognition of any sort, he simply worked for Christ. I have heard that the way you can tell weather you have a servants heart or not is measured by how you feel when you are treated like a servant! Perhaps the greatest example of servanthood was when when Christ himself washed the dirty feet of His disciples. Imagine, kneeling in front of all those men and, one by one, cleaning feet that have spent the day walking on dirty, dusty roads! Awesome!
Matthew 25:21 says, "His master replied, 'Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master's happiness!'"
Now is the time for Worship!
May God Richly Bless You, My Beloved!

Greetings All

Greetings in the Perfect Name of Jesus Christ!
Are you bad? Do you think you're so bad that no one really loves you? Do you think your so bad that even God himself doesn't love you? Well, you're wrong about that! The fact is, Jesus was sent to us by God because he loves us even though we are bad. A good follower of Christ will tell you this, a great follower of Christ will tell you this AND admit he is also bad!
We must remember that we are no better than those with whom we are sharing God's word, and admitting that will keep us humble before God and man. Nobody likes to admit their shortcomings, but if we are to reach the unsaved, we must let them know we are like them, and still we are saved by the perfect love of God!
Romans 5:8 says, "But God commandeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us!
Now is the Time for Worship!
May God Richly Bless You, My Beloved!

Greetings All

Greetings in the Renewing Name of Jesus Christ,
Well, here we are, eight days into the new year. For some, the brand new sheen of 2011 has already worn off with the return to the same life we had in 2010! It might be your job, it might be the collection agencies, it might be your home life, but whatever it is, God has got your back! We may not like the trials we go through - it may seem as though we go through nothing but trials - but it is important tempering. We need to realize that in those trials God is working to make us better believers. I learned long ago about the 'Three T's' - Trials Teaches Trust! So says Proverbs 3:5,6 -
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight."
Now is the time for Worship!
May God Richly Bless You, my beloved!

Greetings All

Greetings in the Renewing Name of Jesus Christ!
Here we are again at the end of another year! Unbelievable!
I'd like to wish you all a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Some people view the New Year as a chance to start over, a brand new chance to make things right! Friends, God did that for us just a couple thousand years ago when Jesus died on that cross! From that point on we have a chance to renew our lives every single minute of every single day! You don't have to wait until the New Year to do it! God is ready to help you right now! It was after a long, dark spell that we, too, were renewed. Christ had suffered the indignities of a fixed-up trial, a scourging, berating, and finally crucifixion. How dark it was indeed. All was lost to so many that loved and followed him. But then, renewal! Three long days of darkness and Christ arises to prove that the renewal He promised us was indeed upon us; we need only accept it! Have you? Recently I was speaking with friends about the importance of material possessions, or, more accurately, the lack of importance. Of course, I only discovered this after I became unemcombered. There are many examples of ridding oneself of material burdens in the bible. One in particular was a man who wanted to follow Christ. "What must I do?" inquired the man. Christ replied, "Sell all you own and give it to the poor.' The man, being very wealthy, could not part with his belongings. In the Hindu world, living life with no possessions is the ultimate in worship. I can tell you that it is a cleansing accomplishment, both mentally and spiritually!

May God Richly Bless You All!
Now is the Time for Worship!

Greetings All

Greetings in the Uplifting Name of Jesus Christ!
Is life bringing you down? Got creditors hounding you? Looking surgery in the eye? Lose your job this week? Got cabin fever? Let me make a suggestion, if I may. Pray! There is no better way to lift your spirit (literally) than having a conversation with God, your Father! Did I say conversation? You bet I did! Prayer does not always have to be the formal structure we all learned as youngsters! God is your Father and He wants you to talk to him; to tell Him your troubles. Try this, put two chairs side by each. One for you, and one for God! Have a seat...and talk. you'll be surprised, and blessed, by the response! The thing about this group is we are all rank amateurs, so no one judges. In fact, I think we have a great deal of fun encouraging each other to continue in spite of our selves! So it should be with each other as believers. We come together for the glory of God, not for our own glory, therefore we should not judge one another on our performance as a believer, but rather we should encourage each other. No small duty to be sure, and it will take all year to fulfill, then the next year, and the next....
May God richly Bless You All
Now is the Time to Worship!

Greetings All

Greetings All!
Oh, my! I love the Autumn, always have, but I am not really sure why. I love the colors of the leaves as they turn on the trees, and I love to hear the rustle of the leaves that have fallen as they are walked through! I love the fragrance of those leaves as they decay. When I think of Autumn, I think of life, the end of life. These things that are dying have served their purpose for the time they had allotted to them. Do we seize the same opportunity? Do we serve our purpose for the time allotted us? I have a friend who tirelessly helps young men who have need of council and direction. It is his purpose, and he knows it, and he follows that purpose. Ask God what your purpose is, then do it...before your Autumn!
May God Richly Bless You All.
Now is the Time for Worship!

Greetings All

Greetings in the Comforting Name of Jesus Christ,
Recently I read an article concerning the murder of a young girl. The parents are devastated, but the mother moreso. The daughter was a believer, the mother was not. One day the mother went for a walk in the woods, and while there she broke down and angrily yelled at God. "I told her she could trust you!" When she was done, she clearly heard God's reply. "You will see her again", was God's answer. The woman left the woods with a new faith in God. I see another point here. God will NEVER leave you standing alone, ever. Here we are at the end of July already! It hasn't been a great summer, weatherwise, so I've been thinking about some of the summers gone by, and wishing. I'd like to go back to some of those summers and experience them again! BUT, being human means we can only enjoy the linear life moving forward. God, on the other hand, can be anyplace at anytime! I wonder what that would be like! Can you imagine being able to go and look at your past? Would we be able to fix our 'mistakes', do things over and have a different outcome? It is our life experiences that make us who we are, that cause us to appreciate what God has given us! We make future decisions based on what God has taught us in the past. Correct your past, and all would be undone! Thus, we can see God's wisdom in creating us to live in one direction! Incidentally, that one direction will lead us right to the throne of God himself! AWESOME!

Proverbs 3:5,6 "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and He will make your paths straight."

May God Richly Bless You All!
Now is the Time for Worship!!

News

Greetings All,
The move is made and we are now in Biddeford!
Talk to you soon!

Greetings All

A submission from Dusty Wilbur:

THE BLOOD OF JESUS

One night in a church service a young woman felt the tug of God at her heart. She responded to God's call and accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior. The young woman had a very rough past, involving alcohol, drugs, and prostitution.

But, the change in her was evident. As time went on she became a faithful member of the church. She eventually became involved in the ministry, teaching young children. It was not very long until this faithful young woman had caught the eye and heart of the pastor's son.

The relationship grew and they began to make wedding plans..

This is when the problems began. You see, about one half of the church did not think that a woman with a past such as hers was suitable for a pastor's son. T he church began to argue and fight about the matter. So they decided to have a meeting.

As the people made their arguments and tensions increased, the meeting was getting completely out of hand. The young woman became very upset about all the things being brought up about her past. As she began to cry the pastor's son stood to speak.

He could not bear the pain it was causing his wife to be. He began to speak and his statement was this: "My fiancïe's past is not what is on trial here.. What you are questioning is the ability of the blood of Jesus to wash away sin. Today you have put the blood of Jesus on trial. So, does it wash away sin or not?"

The whole church began to weep as they realized that they had been slandering the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Too often, even as Christians, we bring up the past and use it as a weapon against our brothers and sisters. Forgiveness is a very foundational part of the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

If the blood of Jesus does not cleanse the other person completely then it cannot cleanse us completely. If that is the case, then we are all in a lot of trouble.

What can wash away my sins? Nothing but the blood of Jesus! End of case!!!!

"Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved."

Psalm 55:23

There is no cost but a lot of rewards, let's continue to pray for one another.

"Father, I ask you to bless my friends, relatives and email buddies reading this right now. Show them a new revelation of your love and power. Holy Spirit, I ask you to minister to their spirit at this very moment. Where there is pain, give them your peace and mercy. Where there is self doubt, release a renewed confidence through your grace.

In Jesus' precious name.

Amen

Greetings All

Greetings in the Knowledgable Name of Jesus Christ!
Well, summer is finally upon us! If you are like most folks, you'll be making summer plans. There will be plans for camping, family reunions, barbeques, trips, and any number of other family and group activities! Maybe you are looking forward to plans you have already made! Who is involved, and who have you invited? Have you remembered to check with God for all the plans you have made? You may decide to plan your future, long or short term, but God's plan for your future is ultimate! How do I know? God told us in Luke, chapter 12!

"And he told them this parable:
"The ground of a certain rich man produced a good crop.
Luk 12:17
He thought to himself, 'What shall I do? I have no place to store my crops.'
Luk 12:18
"Then he said, 'This is what I'll do. I will tear down my barns and build bigger ones, and there I will store all my grain and my goods.
Luk 12:19
And I'll say to myself, "You have plenty of good things laid up for many years. Take life easy; eat, drink and be merry." '
Luk 12:20
"But God said to him, 'You fool! This very night your life will be demanded from you. Then who will get what you have prepared for yourself?' "

Perhaps, at the end of our planning, we should add the clause 'If it be your will, Lord'.

May God Richly Bless You All!
Now is the Time for Worship!

Greetings All

Greetings in the truthful name of Jesus Christ,
I believe I can be relatively sure that we were all raised with at least one common parental belief; we should always tell the truth. We also learned early on that telling the truth has consequences, sometimes painful. We have all heard the "cherry tree" story about George Washington, and we know about "honest" Abe Lincoln; models to be followed. As adults we finally learned the only honest person ever was Jesus Christ. He told only the truth, and definitely paid the price...for us. Being honest has favourable results, namely a clean conscience and no need to remember which lies have been told!

Proverbs 12:17 "A truthful witness gives honest tetimony, but a false witness tells lies."

But honesty goes beyond the spoken word; it encompases our actions as well. One thing I began telling my kids when they were little is a rule to be followed for life; IF IT'S NOT YOURS, DON'T TAKE IT. My wife was raised on the other side of the world, and guess what...she taught her kids the same thing!! Honesty, it's plain, simple, and guilt free!

Proverbs 16:8 "Better is a little with righteousness, than great revenues without right."

Of course, Paul had to challenge the future generations with this statement...

Acts 24:16 "And here-in do I exercise myself, to always have a conscience void of offence toward God, and toward men."

Wow, that's a toughie, but worth pursuit!

May God richly bless you all...
Now is th Time for Worship!

Greetings All

Greetings in the Agape Name of Jesus Christ,

In 1977 I saw a movie that has stayed with me to this day, and will for the rest of my life. The movie is "Oh God", starring George Burns in the title role. (note: a remake is scheduled for release in 2011) During the movie, 'God' has a monologue in a courtroom. To sum it up, He reminds us that we need to love each other. It seems like a simple task, doesn't it? How are you doing with that? Let me help you find out. Try going one full day without having a negative thought about anyone! I admit to you that I have tried this many times, and never make it! If we are to truly love one another in the fashion God desires, we must be able to have a critical component of love; a component called grace. Thankfully, we have God's love and grace with us always, just for the asking! In the final scene of the movie, the supporting character asks 'God' if they could 'get together now and then', just to talk. 'God'replies, "You talk, I'll listen!" Next time you have a hard time loving, talk to God. He is listening!

1 Corinthians 13:13 "And now abideth faith, hope, and love, these three; but the greatest of these is love."

May God Richly Bless You All!
Now is the Time for Worship!

Greetings All

Greetings in the fair name of Jesus Christ!
I was reading the local obituaries, and started to chuckle. My co-worker was a bit curious, and asked me what was so funny. "This fellow," I replied,"died at the age of 94; but it says here he died unexpectedly!" Tell me folks, what should we expect at 94? I'll let you know when I get there! There is one thing we can all expect after death though; a face to face meeting with God himself. Did you know that everyone will face God? Awesome thought, isn't it? Imagine standing there in front of God, and He is about to review your life, and hand down your judgement; or your reward. Which one will he give you?

Hebrews 9:27, 28 "And it is appointed unto men (and women) once to die, but after that the judgement: So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many, and unto them that look for him shall He appear the second time without sin unto salvation."

Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."

Perhaps the dead man's family is right...at some point, 94 years doesn't seem very long!
May God richly bless you all!
Now is the Time to Worship!

Greetings All

Greetings in the Peace Giving Name of Jesus Christ,
As an elderly man was being driven to the assisted living facility, his son was telling him about the activities and the accomodations. Do we address life that way? It doesn't matter what life brings on, God is with us, and we can love it. God had once told Moses to tap a rock and water would flow from it. Moses did, the water did. The second time around, God told Moses to speak to a rock, and water would flow from it, but Moses decided to do things his way. Instead of speaking to the rock, Moses tapped it with his staff.

Numbers 20:8
Take the rod, and gather thou the assembly together, thou, and Aaron thy brother, and speak ye unto the rock before their eyes; and it shall give forth his water, and thou shalt bring forth to them water out of the rock: so thou shalt give the congregation and their beasts drink.

Numbers 20:11
And Moses lifted up his hand, and with his rod he smote the rock twice: and the water came out abundantly, and the congregation drank, and their beasts [also].

Numbers 20:12
And the LORD spake unto Moses and Aaron, Because ye believed me not, to sanctify me in the eyes of the children of Israel, therefore ye shall not bring this congregation into the land which I have given them.

When God says you need only speak, believe it, and do it His way!

May God Richly Bless You All!
Now is the Time to Worship!
